A whisk of mountain air ruffles the tod's fur and he sniffs, unfamiliar with clear, light air and high-reaching peaks. The rock formations that dot the trail he wanders allow him to release a breath in relief, justifying his directional skills. He's pretty good. Skirting the path a little further, a strong scent of life surprises him - Castor stumbles back, growing embarrassed with his own actions shortly thereafter. He eventually huffs with amusement, continuing to press away from the cliffs and dropoffs as he reaches the camp. He distantly hears chitchat among the members of SkyClan while the camp looms ahead of him, he's becoming more anxious by the second. This is his place to stop, he supposes, halting before the entrance and peering tentatively into the hub.

"Hello?" He calls, shifting his paws as he waits for someone to stop by. Apprehensive, Castor shuffles a few inches closer. "I'm here to join."

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px;]★ ★ ★-- Instantly, a vague sense of comfort dropped on the fox, having met a member of his own species, however peculiarly-patterned. It had charm to it, he will admit, a uniqueness one could only tie to the male who called himself 'Gawain.' Castor nodded briskly, trying to avoid looking like a nervous, bumbling idiot. Was it that easy, though, to claim a spot in this Clan? He was expecting some kind of initiation, like, 'eat all these bugs in one sitting' or 'sit on a hill of fire ants for an hour.' Thankfully, he could avoid the upset stomach and the sore rear. "Thank you," The male breathed, fluffing out his fur against the breeze.

As Duskmire spoke, the fox turned to study him, startled by his arrival despite it being so casual. Okay, 'casual' probably wasn't the right word. 'Awkward' fit best, in his opinion. Castor blinked, sliding into a sit to rest his limbs. Gods, that had been a long walk. "Uh - yes. Castor. I'm Castor." Alas, he was no better in terms of confidence. Twitching his ears, the tod gave a nod in greeting to Caleb, momentarily distracted by a bird flapping somewhere above him. "It's nice to meet you all?" And it sounded more like a question than anything else. Damn.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px;]★ ★ ★-- This caused Castor to almost smile, excited by another star fan. "Th-thank you..! Yeah, ah, the star in Gemini. My mom liked stars." The fox dipped his head, oddly flattered by the compliment. He was very fond of space and all it withheld, like his parents had been, even if a good 99.65 (well, that's just an estimation) percent of it was undiscovered. He found it all interesting, stars and constellations and universes and things no one had ever seen. It would be lovely to travel up there sometime and walk on planets and stars. Hah, if that were anything near possible.

Immediately intrigued by the little hybrid, Castor peered over at her, though he kept his distance. Not because he was afraid of her.. okay, maybe the mandibles were a little intimidating. The fox twitched his nose, trying to decipher exactly what she was - part-centipede? After a bit of analysing, he greeted her lightly, "Um, hi there." Yikes.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px;]★ ★ ★-- This strange ritual was certainly foreign to Cas, and while it was kind of amusing, it made him curious more than anything else. He wouldn't dare participate, for the liquids they were consuming certainly seemed shady to him, but instead observe quietly from the outer edge of the group, ears swiveling to catch the exchanges of words. The tod sunk low, hoping to avoid drawing attention to himself.

It must have been a bear. Er, that was the male's conclusion; he refused to believe there was anything unnatural stalking the woods. Any notion of that was, well, unnatural. Shifting his paws, Castor cast his gaze toward the edge of the camp, fur prickling uncomfortably. He dragged his gaze back to Duskmire before he spoke, his powers of topic-assumption reigning supreme.

"About the thing in the woods? Do you think we should just find it and kill it?" While brutal, it appeared to be the easiest solution to the issue, if it could be outnumbered. Unless this bear had some strange paranormal power that could kill anything with but a glance, it couldn't be too hard to take it down. "Or ask it nicely to leave?" The tod murmured, vaguely sarcastic, as he twitched his ears toward the sound of a bird ascending from a nearby branch.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px;]★ ★ ★-- "Song words." Castor echoed as he arrived, confused. He'd take a seat, curious eyes studying the half-hidden paper. He could barely read, let alone write, so while he was very intrigued he was also eager to pick up a few tricks or.. something of the like. "And what are song words?"

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px;]★ ★ ★-- Castor trailed over, his expression stony. Whatever this thing was, he could take it. Didn't seem that daring. I mean, host a game? Pssh. Piece of cake. Ahem. "I'll take a.. 'weekly task.'" The fox muttered, halting among the group.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12.3px;] "Yes, as the doberman said," Castor arrived with a little huff, drawing his gaze over the setup curiously. While it definitely came across as 'odd,' Cas was certainly amused and inquisitive, poking at the nearest strip of fabric apprehensively. He felt like he'd participate, just for the hell of it. How strange could it be?

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0px; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px;]★-- Creepy tunnel. Find it, and explore it. Well, it wouldn't be too bad if he were in a group. That was the task, anyway. Form an exploration brigade! To enter the depths of caves and tell tales of treasures unseen before! .. the activity itself probably wouldn't be so rugged and cool. Nevertheless, it would definitely be an experience that brought feelings of exhilaration and confidence. Explorers are so cool.

Taking a seat at around the center of camp, a small assortment of lanterns he had unearthed scattered at his paws, Castor readied himself to make the call. "Hey - I'm, uh, assembling a group to explore a cave of sorts. Would anybody be interested in that..?"

    [/fancypost]

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12.3px;] Castor perked, immediately growing eager. So it's a game of stealth and agility! Aah, and he would absolutely take any chance he got to deliver some swift justice to someone's face in the form of a projectile. "Interesting!" The tod chirped after a moment of digesting the information, swishing his tail idly. "I would like to partake in 'dodgeball.'"

    [/fancypost]

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12.3px] Duskmire's comments elicited a brief smile from Castor, who replied enthusiastically to his Clanmates, "Oh, lovely!" The fox chirped as they gathered, pleased with the turnout so far. He knew the exploration would draw attention, but he hadn't really thought there would be many others who would be as interested in spelunking a creepy cave as he was. "I think, I'll wait for a few more to arrive before we set off. Safety in numbers.. right?" This didn't imply that anything dangerous was lurking in the cave, no, but it was always the right idea to make sure that if there was, it could easily be dealt with. He'd take as many as he had lanterns - five lanterns, five explorers, equal share.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12.3px;] Captain! Castor practically glimmered. He would love to be captain! Alas - he would certainly feel crushed under the pressure of 'leadership' and fumble awkwardly at the center of attention; so as much as he was flattered by the offer, he'd have to decline. However, nothing could stop him from choosing his rightful team! "Oh, um, I pick.. the red team. I'll pass on the captain thing." Said Castor with a sheepish smile, shifting toward the red team's side.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12.3px;] "You can breathe fire," The fox exclaimed as he approached, bewildered by the dragon's display. He had never met a dragon before, and until now figured the whole firebreathing thing was some kind of myth. He should have known it was true - there were blue Eevees somewhere around here. His point: SkyClan's full of some trippy stuff. Resembled friggin' Wonderland. Turning his attention to the other display, the more sparkly green one, Castor shut himself up, opting to just watch instead of play Captain Obvious' role.

While he was unfamiliar with many things, Castor knew meet and greets, and albeit that he struggled with introducing himself to others, he'd cry himself a river, build a bridge, and get over it. The fox halted at the edge of the group with a light, bashful smile. He knew Caleb, er - knew his name, at the very least, so he delivered a friendly flick of his tail to the wolfhound as he took a seat. The newer face he laid eyes on belonged to the tabby, whom he regarded with a nod. "Um. Hi. I'm Castor."

    [fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12.3px;]The tod allowed a smile. "Yes, it's lovely to meet you, as well, Cairo."

As the cloudwatcher posed a question, Castor didn't have to spend much time brewing an answer, as it could have been only a few days since he hauled himself into SkyClan asking to join. "I'd say so. Everyone here is so nice, though, it's starting to feel like home already." He punctuated this with a little chuckle, twitching an ear absently as a fly zipped around it.

[fancypost bgcolor=transparent; borderwidth=0; bordercolor=transparent; width: 425px; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify; font-size: 12.3px;]Castor was at the lake. He had wandered upon it by accident, having decided to go for a walk to pass the time. The water was clear, the air was light; he could see a number of smaller fish and tadpoles breezing among the stones on the floor. He was momentarily distracted by their erratic swimming patterns and ability to skirt away from even the shadow of his paw before he could comprehend it. Fish were funny little things.

Eased by the lake's tranquility, Castor shifted onto his belly, huffing contentedly. This was a wonderful place. One could go here to think and be at peace, or bring a friend to have a quiet conversation. Or bring a flock of friends and go swimming. Oh, that sounded great. But Castor wasn't much of a swimmer. More of a panicked flailer.
